The Timbers Hotel Denver- Offering an unbeatable location with outstanding amenities.

If shopping is your interest Northfield at Stapleton should be your first stop.  This new shopping area opened in November 2006 and is designed to replicate the old main street in small town America.  The area has many clothing stores and boutiques as well as major retailers such as Macy’s, Bass Pro, Super Target, and JC Penny’s.  Take in a movie at The Harkins Theater, with 18 screens provides entertaining movies for all tastes.

Newer to the area is Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. This 18,000 person stadium is the new home to the Colorado Rapids soccer team.  The stadium boasts 24 outlying fields for concert events, soccer tournaments, and lacrosse.  It is truly an impressive complex with something for everyone, especially on a beautiful Colorado day.

Currently under development is the new Anschutz Medical Complex on the old Fitzsimons Army Medical Center.  This massive complex, when completed, will be the foremost cancer research center in the United States.  Construction and plans are underway for this complex to include the University of Colorado Hospital as well as The Children’s Hospital of Colorado.
Annually, during the month January, Denver hosts the National Western Stock Show, held at The National Western Complex.  This three week event is host to rodeos, premium livestock sales, and anything one may need on a farm/ranch.  This annual event attracts ranchers, farmers, and visitors from all across the United States and abroad.  Attending the Stock Show truly makes one feel that they are part of an American Western experience.

Sometimes, one needs to get out and see the local attractions, and Denver has some of the best in the west.  The Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Natural History are two of the locals’ favorite locations to visit.  The Denver Zoo is home to over 4,000 animals representing over 700 species from all over the world.  With an exciting plan of upgrades within the next 15 years, the zoo will also add a conservatory as well as new exhibits establishing Denver as offering one of the premier zoos in the world.  The Denver Museum of Natural History, founded in 1900, host a plethora of exhibits and galleries for all interests and ages.  The museum hosts many of the national touring exhibits as well as the Gates Planetarium and an IMAX theater.
